Head (m / f) of IT Infrastructure
The Head of Global IT Infrastructure is group-wide responsible for the strategy, planning, design, engineering and operational management of all aspects of SYNLAB’s global IT Infrastructure Services to support business process and services across the enterprise.
It is a key leadership role within the global IT organization that interfaces closely with internal stakeholders, senior management and SYNLAB’s customers.
The Head of Global IT Infrastructure will play a key role in driving the transformation to a global IT Infrastructure organization forward and, based on an in-depth experience, will help to ensure stable and future-oriented IT Infrastructure Services for the SYNLAB Group.
The Head of Global IT Infrastructure works closely with the local IT Management and reports to the SYNLAB’s Group CIO.
Drive today’s Global IT Infrastructure Services Organization forward and take over a key leadership role within SYNLAB’s global IT organization that interfaces closely with internal stakeholders and SYNLAB’s Senior Management
Taking over the responsibility as line manager for all direct reporting employees, e.g. CoE Team Leads, Service Delivery Manager or Head of ITSM
Foster close collaboration with the business in order to meet internal and external customer requirements as well as improve continually the IT Infrastructure service portfolio
Be a thought-leader in terms of IT architecture, service design and service delivery and drive the global teams to deliver IT Infrastructure Services and projects, which support SYNLAB’s business and customer sustainably
Act as competence partner for the local IT management in the SYNLAB Group
Takeover of conceptual, economic planning and realization of IT investments including vendor and contract management; ensure a transparent distribution of IT costs in close collaboration with the IT Controlling
Transform today locally provided IT services to globally provided and remote managed IT services
Your qualifications, skills and abilities :
More than ten years of IT management experience on global enterprise-level, preferable in the Life Sciences industry; broad understanding of HW and SW platforms, Cloud, ITSM, operational tools and the related dependencies
Self-starter with high customer orientation and an innovative mindset that will actively drive the global support model to deliver best-in-class IT services
Proven track record of leading complex initiatives, the ability to navigate both strategic and tactical challenges
Sound understanding of Service Management and clear commitment to Service Management Framework
Strong business acumen, and the capacity to lead several key initiatives in parallel working with large extended and cross functional teams;
deep budget management and planning skills are a must
Profound knowledge and experience in people management as well as strong intercultural competencies and willingness to travel abroad
