The new Digital Unit will focus on experimenting, incubating and bringing to market new technological offerings and digital products that will not only enhance Olympus’s position in the market but spearhead the development of new technologies that will reconceptualize the experience for both patients and medical professionals globally.
As the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and influencing all the products that we build within one of the organizations' core digital clusters, leveraging both future and our existing technologies.
In your role as Technical Lead, you will : Represent Platform in executive dialog about budget, staffing, scenario planning, partnerships and other key strategic discussions.
Ensure roadmaps are achievable and strike the right balance between delivery timelines, costs, technology direction and operations.
Maximize the flow of value delivered, systematically measuring and removing impediments, and ensuring a metrics-focused approach to measure objective realization and performance.
Share insights that help improve productivity, leveraging knowledge of software delivery methods, Agile principles and methods, project management approaches, and industry best practices.
Build, lead and mentor delivery teams consisting of Software Engineers, Architects, DevOps Resources as well as Testers.Manage the operational aspects of the delivery team, ensuring financial, risk, legal, security and other compliance requirements are met.
Work with the delivery team to ensure completed features get into the production environment and into the hands of stakeholders.
Ensure supplier performance, including alignment with the organization’s ways of working and values, assessing performance and fostering strong relationships that encourage continuous improvement and innovation.
Coordinate strategic dialog across technical community, with partners, and with Olympus executives to drive and maintain alignment, support, and clarity on all areas related to Platform.
Provide key insights to stakeholders on the progress of an initiative or feature from inception to delivery and into production, including visibility to development efforts and value metrics.
Determine strategic direction for the technical team to best deliver agreed upon goals.Lead assessment of needs from the user and design, develop, and test software solutions that meet those needs.
Lead to responsible for the designing, coding and debugging related to Platform.Create documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments that illustrate the type of code needed.
Provide insight into development and service issues by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing necessary information. A successful Technical Lead for this role should have : Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or other related field (or equivalent and related experience).
Certification in agile methodologies is desired (not mandatory).Minimum of 10-15 years' experience in the assigned Business Domain / area.
Minimum 7-10 years of software engineering or software development experience, preferably in a related field.In-depth knowledge of the assigned Business Domain / area and the corresponding processes, including key performance indicators, best-in-class practices, business and technology trends.
Experience building a team in a global, matrixed environment.Experience in project / product / platform management.Hands-on programming experience using relevant languages.
Experience using relevant software engineering tools.Broad understanding of technology topics such as (e.g., cloud products and platforms, microservice architectures, automation, and API integration).
Experience in operating internal and external communication management processes with autonomy and responsibility in a growing, multi-site, multi-disciplined organization.
