Summary & Role Information

Implementing best-in-class operations procedures to manage business processes in cloud and SAP HANA environments is the key challenge for SAP and its customers.

A key service for customers during operations phase at SAP is the SAP Application Management Service (SAP AMS). The mission of SAP AMS is to maximize customer success in the run phase of SAP software lifecycle by taking over responsibility for smooth end to end operations and lowering customers total cost of operation.

The SAP unit Managed Service Delivery Center successfully supports local and global customers from various industries in maintenance, daily operation and ongoing functional support of their SAP business applications.

Our Delivery Center is planning to enhance its capacities for professional delivery management of on-premise, cloud or hybrid customer engagements and is offering the position for a Support Consultant (f / m / d) to support our team with the following tasks :

  • Analyze customer’s business requirements or problems and act as an advisor and problem solver to clients and our partners
  • Drive innovation to optimize, automate and standardize the operational processes
  • Deliver high quality and ensure stable operations
  • Professional leadership of global customer engagements in order to ensure optimized delivery of SAP innovations
  • Leading, teaching and optimizing AMS delivery for S / 4HANA innovations within SAP FIORI Development
  • Serving as trusted advisor and guide for all customer IT operations topics
  • Experience (Role Requirements)

  • University degree in computer sciences, natural sciences, engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Knowledge and experience in SAP development projects
  • Development experience in FIORI and other programming languages in SAP solutions (e.g. ABAP, SAPUI5 etc.) and / or recommended technology approach (e.g. Core Data Service etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills, results-oriented and effectiveness in problem-solving
  • Ability to present and communicate complex information to customers and colleagues in a clear and appealing manner
  • Very good German and English skills - verbal and written (other languages a plus)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a virtual / dispersed team
  • 2+ years of related professional experience in development or a customer-facing role
  • Preferred skills :

  • Knowledge of business processes in Logistics with S / 4HANA is a plus
  • Experience with usage of SAP Business Technology Platform is a plus
  • Experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model is a plus
  • Deeper experience in SAP Business Partner concept is a plus
  • SAP Application knowledge is a plus
  • Background in key methodologies for efficient deployment and operation of SAP applications is a plus
