Job Responsibilities

Provides Quality leadership and manages the daily activities of Quality professionals within Heidelberg, Germany

Proficient in AS9100 and Collins Aerospace Quality Management System requirements

Assigns technical resources to local work assignments (workforce allocation) and primary point of contact for resource issue resolution

Manages plans, guidelines, policies and processes, to ensure the achievement of quality targets

Ensures organizational compliance to policies, processes, and standard work requirements

Responsible for activities that ensure compliance to all regulatory and internal requirements

Develops proactive quality initiatives and drives implementation

Lead Root Cause Corrective Action teams to reduce scrap, reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction

Defines specific strategic quality plan along with related work scope

Contributes to long-term resource planning, while acquiring and developing technical resources which contribute to the effective completion of quality initiatives

Manages the collection and analysis of quality information from multiple sources for use in developing long-term quality strategy and programs

Actively addresses employee performance and organizational alignment

May require 20%-30% local travel on average

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of prior relevant experience OR

Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR

In absence of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience is required

Experience with AS9100, ISO9000 or similar, Quality Management System (QMS) standards

Previous leadership experience in Quality, Operations or a technical field

Competence in conducting root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action

Experience with continuous improvement, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, 9S, etc.

Lean, Six Sigma or Continuous improvement experience preferred

Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills are required along with the ability to establish effective communication and working relationships with all levels and functions

Strong interpersonal skills - able to influence others at all levels within an organization
