At Amazon Business, we are focused on building the world’s most customer-centric B2B marketplace. We build solutions to enable business customers to discover, research, and purchase products from a competitive marketplace with a vast selection, across multiple devices and regions, and with an increasing array of customer-

centric features and integrations. Germany was the first country to launch Amazon Business outside US and we have already built a sizable customer base that ranges from sole traders to DAX30 companies in a wide range of industries.

We are looking for a high-caliber, results-focused Principal Partner Alliance Manager (m / f) Amazon Business with a talent for stakeholder management .

This person will enjoy developing broad and strong relationships with external organizations and other parts of Amazon to find opportunities to grow Amazon Business.

External organizations may include public sector purchasing organizations, eProcurement system providers, consultancies that undertake procurement-

related work, trade associations and paid referral partners. This individual will nurture and rapidly expand existing partnerships, establish new lead generation and customer acquisition opportunities, demonstrate the results and play an important role in shaping Amazon Business’s partnership strategy in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as Central Eastern Europe.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Grow our partner-based customer acquisition engine and feature adoption by existing customers
  • Identify sales and marketing opportunities with existing partners and quickly execute, defining business cases to justify investment where required
  • Develop deep and broaden relationships with executives at partner organizations to stimulate activity and uncover new opportunities
  • Lead contractual negotiations with counter-parties and onboard them as partners
  • Share learnings and align on the Best of Amazon across marketplaces (US, Germany, Japan, others TBC)
  • Innovate, obsessively monitor the voice of the customer and deep-dive on technological solutions to help drive our roadmap of partner integrations and product features
  • Explore and establish new alliances to grow the business in collaboration with international colleagues
  • Identify mechanisms to track results and feed these back to colleagues and internal leaders
  • Collaborate with, and influence, sales, marketing, product managers and other internal stakeholders
  • Basic Qualifications

  • University degree from a reputable institution, analytical qualification or background preferred, business model creation
  • Experience at a top-tier consultancy, investment bank, or other fast-paced environment(s) interacting with senior executives with a track record of success in roles of increasing responsibility
  • Proven ability to develop strong and collaborative working relationships with customers or external parties and influence others to achieve outstanding results
  • Strong analytical capability and writing skills to frame opportunities and report on activities and results
  • Ability to prioritize, organize others and demonstrate discipline and personal influence to achieve goals
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA from a top-tier school
  • B2B sales and marketing experience, especially partner-based lead generation and customer acquisition
  • A passion for technology and ensuring great customer experiences
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following would be beneficial :
  • o B2B procurement

    o Public sector procurement framework agreements

    o Payments, in particular card or virtual card-based payments

    o EProcurement and other source-to-settle software systems

    Referral marketing and customer promotions

  • University degree from a reputable institution, analytical qualification or background preferred, business model creation
  • Experience at a top-tier consultancy, investment bank, or other fast-paced environment(s) interacting with senior executives with a track record of success in roles of increasing responsibility
  • Proven ability to develop strong and collaborative working relationships with customers or external parties and influence others to achieve outstanding results
