The Internal Sales Executive is responsible for managing a set of assigned core accounts while developing new ones with a focus on exceeding both individual and team gross profit (GP) goals.

The ISE will determine the proper customer engagement strategy along with appropriate customer contact frequency to gain market share.

The ISE is responsible for qualifying and prioritizing all opportunities, and liaising with the sourcing / purchasing department to ensure proper supplier selection and purchase price.

The ISE is the primary owner of meeting customer delivery commitments and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Demand creation for all Astute service offerings
  • Prompt response to all request for quotes (RFQs)
  • Defend and grow business with assigned customer base
  • Expand business with target accounts, obtain AVL / PSL status
  • Efficient and intelligent sourcing and negotiating
  • Determine proper resell price on customer quotes
  • Maintain healthy margins and optimize when possible
  • Occasional travel as business requires
  • Develop shared customer strategies with Field Sales Executive (FSE), and ensure execution
  • Strive to achieve and exceed individual GP targets
  • The job title does not define or limit the work required and the employee shall undertake such duties in relation to the company and its business as may be required from time to time.
  • Typical working hours : 8am-5pm Monday-Friday as well as those hours necessary to get the job done. Note : There may be elements of external / outside sales and business development in this role, with opportunities to travel and meet with business partners in person.

    Requirements

  • 2+ years industry experience
  • 2+ years sales experience
  • Trading Skills
  • Product Knowledge
  • Customer Relationship expertise
  • Qualification of accounts and prioritization of RFQ

  • Attention to detail
  • Language, Mathematical, And / OR Reasoning Ability :

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, contracts, etc. and apply to daily work tasks.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply concepts of arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide), ratios, percentages, and ranges.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.
  • Physical Demands & Work Environment : In the performance of the duties of this job the employee is required to travel (as needed), drive a motor vehicle, communicate using telephone and e-mail.
  • The Internal Sales Executive (ISE) requires heavy, daily phone activity.
