What is primary need, technical challenge, and / or problem you will be responsible for?

Because of our continued growth, the EMEA Recruitment team is looking for a 12 month Contract Recruiter to focus on hiring sales roles within MAPBU (Modern Application Business Unit) across EMEA.

When you recruit at VMware, you are supported by a team of recruiters, sourcing specialists, scheduling coordinators, Talent Acquisition Leaders, HR Business Partners, an offers team, relocation team, immigration team, and business units who work together to hire the best talent and provide an exceptional candidateexperience.

Success in the Role : What are the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

As a Recruiter, your time will be spent partnering with the business to uncover their requirements and walking them through the fine art of interviewing and selection all while turning every rock to attract top diverse talent to join our company.

You’re someone who thinks like a marketer and sells like a recruiter. You understand recruiting isn’t just about matching the right people with the right job, but fostering connections to our brand and ensuring every candidate has an engaging experience.

At the end of the day, you’ll push the envelope and go the distance. You’re a balance of goal-driven and organized, allowing you to stay focused on the work that benefits your candidates and hiring managers.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

  • 7 + years of recruitment experience, a relentless determination to recruit the most passive candidates
  • an ability to build strong partnerships with the business
  • an uncanny power to use data to impact talent acquisition strategy
  • a recruiting philosophy that isn’t about filling seats, but about building pipelines of strong, diverse candidates you regularly engage.
  • You thrive on a diverse plate of requisitions, partnering with geographically dispersed candidates, hiring managers, and teams.
  • You leverage imaginative and innovative sourcing tools with a focus on building and improving upon the processes and tools that drive us to do what we do, but better.

    What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?

    The role reports into the TA Director EMEA, and will replace one of our talented recruiters who will be going on maternity leave in September.
