What you'll do
You'll be responsible for the definition and the implementation of the observability strategy for the CTO department in close alignment with Sky Group
You'll lead the team that operates and optimizes our monitoring solutions (e.g. Splunk, OpsView, PRTG, AppDinamics)
Furthermore, you'll play an active part in projects ensuring the accurate proactive observability of the capabilities delivered
The analysis and development of dashboards, reports, and alarms is one of your key tasks
No day is the same - you'll support the technical teams in the identification of improvements in the service provided via the analysis of data and trends
By documenting systems, interfaces, and business processes, you make a key contribution to compliance with the monitoring requirements
You'll be in charge of the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the market with regard to modern surveillance solutions
In your daily business, you'll engage with CTO subdomains on operational activities (e.g. Change implementation, Incident resolution, Problem investigation) as well as support the CIO & domain leaders to achieve the service level targeted
Additionally, the provision of Sky management with KPIs and figures regarding the technical services performance will be handled by you
Third Party vendors involvement on major incident troubleshooting and resolution is also part of your responsibility
What you'll bring
You've completed a university degree in computer science / business informatics or comparable training and bring at least 6-8 years of professional experience in the Observability / Monitoring areas
You strategically use your extensive knowledge of various monitoring technologies (ideally with certification) and your broad basic IT knowledge (Splunk, AppDynamics, OpsView)
High analytical and conceptual skills as well as structured working methods characterize you
Ideally, you've ITIL process knowledge and already gained practical experience with ITSM tools
International project work shouldn't be missing from your everyday work
A strong sense of responsibility and social skills are among your strengths - as is your self-motivation
A good command of English rounds off your profile
