*This is a remote position; ideally the candidate should reside in Germany. 

General Accountability

The Director has a critical impact on the business and is accountable for the P&L of the Profound Medical Germany entity. This leader will actively drive successful commercialization of Profound products and drive utilization. The Director will personally build relationships with our OEM partners and establish proper distribution channels across the territory that enable the achievement of business strategies, while ensuring the highest level of service for all clients while ensuring maximum return on investments. The Director is also responsible to effectively plan team activities to delivery on business strategies to include ensuring the appropriate communication flows across all stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Commercialize CE approved Profound products in the EMEA territory
  • Build and manage the sales team, process and implementation of TULSA and Sonalleve programs to meet and exceed goals
  • Build support through implementation of programs and drive utilization
  • Identify key targets, drive market awareness and meet sales goals 
  • Work closely with OEM partners and establish distribution channels for Profound products in key European markets to drive additional sales revenues
  • Interview, hire and manage team of clinical and capital sales professionals to drive new deals and procedural volume
  • Manage transition from the genius team to the clinical sales professional
  • Develop connections with top hospital admin and support team during sales process
  • Support team with training and education
  • Coordinate and partner with additional departments to create material and provide for the needs of the sales team
  • Manage P&L and create OKRs for development


  • University degree in Science, Engineering or Business

Key Attributes (experience, skills and technical knowledge)

  • Previous experience and success in the medical device industry
  • Experience in similar sales positions
  • OEM and distribution partner management
  • Proven strength in communications and training best practices
  • Proven ability to form successful partnerships at all levels and deliver customer service satisfaction
  • Proven ability to negotiate successfully with internal and external parties
  • Ability to analyze client needs through soliciting, evaluating, problem-solving and acting upon client feedback
  • Proven business acumen along with the ability to positively influence others in a desired direction to achieve identified outcomes and OKRs
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback to team members to support continuous improvement and positive change as needed
