Credit Suisse’s financial sponsors group is the leading advisor to the private equity community. With professionals in London, Los Angeles and New York, the Group delivers our leveraged finance franchise to sponsors and their portfolio companies.

The financial sponsors group works closely with all of the bank’s industry and product groups, reflecting the breadth of private equity investments.

Main responsibilities of the role : Origination and Relationship Building

Idea generation reflecting market trends and developments combined with product knowledge to spot opportunities for Credit Suisse to assist clients

Production of pitches - works with analysts to produce well-argued presentations and thorough analysis. Increased involvement in design and structure of presentations from analyst role, due to increased ability to stand back and see the bigger picture

Verbal presentation of analysis and sections of pitches to clients of all levels

Building of client relationships through formal and informal meetings and telephone discussions Transaction Execution

Dealing with clients on detailed, day-to-day aspects of a transaction

Liaising with advisors, lawyers, accountants and other counterparties to produce prospectuses and other legal documentation

Verbal presentation of analysis recommendations to clients of all levels

Building complex financial models, working with clients to develop inputs

Travelling with clients to visit investors worldwide during road shows and other PR activities

Producing documents for CS internal approval processes Team

Management of analysts - coordinating analyst work on projects, developing analysts through delegation of responsibility, prioritising for analysts and well as self

You Offer

Educated to degree level in Finance, you developed excellent corporate finance, accounting, financial modelling and valuation skills.

Your fluency in English and German is critical.

You have working experience as an Associate in IBCM or in an equivalent role is helpful.

You demonstrate deep understanding of various investment banking products (M&A, DCM, ECM, LevFin etc.).

You are able to produce excellent written materials and present these in a measured, clear, articulate way.

Given your excellent organisational and project management skills, you always manage to multi-task and plan ahead.

Gifted with strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively coordinate and contribute to a team effort, guiding junior team members, communicate with seniors on all levels and seamlessly work with other CS teams worldwide.
