Purpose of the job
Procurement Project Managers are Senior Professionals, and depending on the project, they are reaching executive positions, and are responsible while project execution that require full procurement attention as an integral part of a project core team to build customer products such as metros, regional and high speed trains, locomotives and trams.
You will act as interface with key stakeholders (Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Finance, Project Management, etc.
as a representative of Procurement & Supply Chain (PSC). You will lead PSC execution of projects from contract start (NTP) until end of warranty considering cost, quality, schedule and sourcing requirements.
Your Key Accountabilities
Establish, manage and monitor the Procurement Project Plan and ensure successful execution of sourcing strategies in allocated projects and implementing Generic and Standard Terms and Conditions reflecting customer contracts.
Manage interfaces between the Project and the PSC teams and participate actively in several meetings or steering boards such as Planning & Progress Reviews, Change Control-, Risk & Opportunity-, Cost Improvement-, Supplier Claim-, Cost- and Gate Reviews to ensure project needs relating material cost, inventory, contractual obligations and performance are met.
Utilize appropriate tools and techniques effectively to ensure execution performance and continuous improvement e.g. Lifecycle Cost management, Open Book Costing, Value Engineering, Maintenance of Costed Bill of Material, Design to Cost.
Map project specific requirements, review and approval of budget and cost positions.
Drive and coordinate supplier performance activities in the projects, ensuring joint product design development process JDDPs and integrate efficient supplier solutions.
Manage and maintain material costing along forecast for project, divisional and management reporting, and drive cost improvement initiatives together with core team to achieve total best cost efficient solutions.
Ensures right inventory strategies are established and maintained serving customer deliveries with efficient cash management.
Commercial or technical University degree or equivalent through experience, complemented by a demonstrated track record of success
Sound expertise in Engineering, Procurement or Project Management, preferably in Railway Industry
Computer literate : MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, One Note), Primavera
Good analytical and problem-solving skills (Value Engineering, Cost analysis, Risk / Ops, SWOT)
Good Team player with strong prioritization skills and flexibility to adjust priorities as needed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment in order to achieve rapid response times to requests with can-do attitude
