Job Description

Eurofins Technologies is a new International Business Line (IBL) within the Eurofins Group focused on the development, manufacturing and marketing of bioanalytical technologies and diagnostic test kits in particular.

The business is primarily focused on solutions in Food Safety and Environmental Safety but has recently expanded into Animal Health and Clinical Diagnostics.

Eurofins Technologies serves both external customers (industrial laboratories, governmental laboratories, service laboratories) as well as customers within the Eurofins Group.

The Sales Manager’s overall objective is to significantly grow the Eurofins Technologies business in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).

The primary responsibility will be to establish, plan and implement sales strategies for the Eurofins Technologies, Industrial Solutions products.

Leading role in developing a strategic sales plan for the Region (defined as Germany, Switzerland and Austria) in the field of Pathogen detection, Allergens, Mycotoxins, GMO and others.

Identify and chase opportunities for expanding business in the Region including :

Develop and manage a network within the Eurofins laboratory group to achieve expected sales growth in the given territories.

Identifies and develops Key Accounts in the field of Pathogens, Allergens, Mycotoxins, GMO and others, and drive scientific partnerships with research and governmental institution.

Identifies and develops a strategic distribution network in the territory

Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.

Lead a team of highly competent / high-performing sales and allications specialists.

Active user of CRM system (Microsoft).

Strategically collaborating with Eurofins laboratories in the given territories to grow inter-company opportunities, as well as develop joint strategies to approach and win key accounts.

Support business growth as needed : including traveling to visit laboratories, on-site technical visits, participation in teleconferences to present on Technologies capabilities to new potential customers.

Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement. Works closely with sales managers and customer service to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;
  • participating in professional societies.


    Academic background in (Molecular) Biology, Chemistry or other relevant fields. MBA is considered a plus.

    At least 5 years of experience in the diagnostic test kit or food / environment safety industry.

    At least 5 years of field sales / sales management with successful proven results i.e. profitable sales performance.

    Strong business acumen, including the ability to build solid regional or national business plans based on analysis of key performance metrics and an understanding of market place issues / opportunities, and the ability to identify areas of opportunity for company products and services.

    Excellent level in English with knowledge of other European languages.

    Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. oral and written communication skills, presentation skills) as this role will interface with leaders of the Eurofins laboratories and external customers.

    Strong customer-focused consultative selling skills.

    Strong problem-solver with can-do mentality.

    Technical knowledge IT : MS Office products.
