As Head of Automotive (f / m / d) you will be directly responsible for the BMW Strategy as Global Account Manager expanding into Daimler and VW Group for NTT Ltd.

As P&L Owner you will lead all sales activities (new sell, up sell, on sell) including the whole NTT Ltd. Portfolio with a strong focus on Managed Cloud, Infrastructure Platform Managed Services (MCIS) and Network Services, and related Consulting Services.

You will work fully aligned and synchronized with Global Automotive Vertical of NTT Inc (GAV)

Key roles and responsibilities :

  • Generate demand by working with the Global Client Directors, solutioning teams and client executives to identify and qualify current needs and effectively articulate how NTT can add value through its Cloud Consulting services and Managed Services offerings
  • Build deep & long-term relationships with key client leaders. Define and execute a competitive win strategy through understanding the client’s business requirements and competitive landscape
  • Organise building commercial solutions for Managed Services solutions and design deals that meet clients’ needs and ensure win / win solutions for both client and NTT, ensuring NTT’s OI targets
  • Drives overall MS sales engagement, commercial modelling & negotiate contractual terms, mitigate risk / obstacles and move the proposal to close
  • Coordinate sales engagement globally for international opportunities
  • Manage pipeline of global / strategic opportunities, create and document a shared strategy to meet sales target (e.g. activities to achieve client satisfaction, minimize churn, cross-sell, upsell, revenue, and margin goals)
  • Lead the negotiation of global / strategic deals and / or lead the account management team in an overlay function to the NTT companies to enable conclusion of the deal
  • Promote complex and integrated solutions and services (i.e., Managed Cloud Services) to drive new contracts for NTT ltd.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base of NTT’s solutions and services by sharing best practices, industry and technology trends with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Engage and co-ordinate with the partner / vendor community to drive select deals through vendor-based on predefined vendor role for the segment
  • Engage with NTT Inc companies, i.e. NTT Data, Docomo, for ONE NTT solutions.
  • Knowledge, skills and attributes

  • Demonstrate an understanding of and the ability to position NTT’s offerings (i.e. Managed Cloud and Infrastructure Services, Modern Networking & Connectivity, Consulting Services).
  • Strong background in Automotive Industry, preferably with the three Global Accounts in Germany, of the core business processes, and on the specific opportunities coming from the disruptive change through ACES
  • Understand each team member’s skills and knowledge and coach team members to drive team effectiveness
  • Understand financial statements and metrics, including revenue, expense control, and growth relative to market in order to hold strategic client conversations.
  • Have the legal knowledge to discuss contracting with the client and understand how to position terms as a value exchange
  • Strong command of German and English language

    Experience required :

  • Degree in Technical or Sales field or relevant experience equivalent to a degree
  • 10+ years’ experience in a large IT organisation with at least 5 of those years focusing on sales experience with global accounts with an application focus
  • Automotive industry knowledge at an exceptional level regarding applications and how to consult across CXO level and above with applications solutions
  • Track record large scale programs and wins in automotive industry
  • Uses good judgement in selecting tools and methods to solve problems.
  • Networks with senior internal and external people in own area of expertise.
