Works closely with management in the implementation of corporate policies related to human resources, organizational, and employee development at the business unit or division level.

Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach.

Participates in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, stock renewal, workforce planning, and organizational change).

Assists senior management in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-oriented perspectives.

May play a role in administering talent management and succession planning activity within the client organization.

Working at NTT

HR Business Partners serve as a consultative business partner to senior managers / business leaders within assigned business groups.

The primary responsibility of this position is to participate in the implementation of strategies relating to human resources and general HR support of employees in their area of responsibility and / or stakeholder group.

These individuals have specialist knowledge and answer queries related to their area of responsibility and / or stakeholder group.

Key roles and responsibilities :

  • Participate in the implementation of strategies relating to the recruitment, development, engagement, and general HR support of employees in the area of responsibility and / or stakeholder group.
  • Support teams and peers to align HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and business needs.
  • Act as a consultative business partner to the assigned stakeholder group by advising them of trends in HR practices, the labor market, and general developments that could impact the human resources in the area of responsibility.
  • Execute all the programs developed by the relevant HR team in the assigned stakeholder group.
  • Ensure that all employees are mapped to the correct NTTJF jobs, to continuously align to the NTT job framework and drive effective employee metrics.
  • Assist in the deployment, management, and measurement of learning and development programs.
  • Support the compilation of talent pipelines, execute targeted recruitment campaigns for prospective employees and support any other initiatives required to effectively recruit for the area of responsibility.
  • Support ongoing engagement of employees in the assigned stakeholder group through communication, information sharing, and knowledge management.
  • Bring subject matter expertise by using data for analysis and trend establishment to understand performance and productivity drivers in the relevant employee base.
  • Actively contribute to the growth and success of the business in the designated stakeholder group.
  • Knowledge, skills, and attributes

  • Technical understanding of the vast range of IT operations and NTT service offerings
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs

  • Academic qualifications and certifications :

  • Advanced Degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
  • Relevant vendor certifications
  • HRBP Certification
  • Experience required :

  • Demonstrable experience working as an HR Business Partner in a global organization
  • Demonstrated experience in working closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at different levels in the business
  • Proficient in HR technologies including experience in HRIS, LMS, e-Recruitment, and Payroll systems
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics

  • Work closely with line managers by providing support with the entire talent acquisition process. Develop, research and identify prospective talent providing a pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Determines appropriate recruiting sources for advertising and posting positions. Promotes the company image to candidates and external service providers.
  • Documents and evaluates recruiting and candidate interview process. Negotiates and / or supports hiring manager in developing new hire compensation package / offers.

  • Processes payroll with the following : new hires, terminations, SHI contribution, status changes, tax changes, deductions, direct deposits, time sheet data, rate changes, retroactive adjustments and special pays;
  • maintains vacation, sick leave and worker's compensation records; compiles reports on base and premium pay; prepares tax deposits and reports;
  • Follow up labor contract to ensure the data is accuracy and on time.
  • Assists in the administration and implementation of the organization's unionized labor relations programs, policies and procedures.
  • Investigates unfair labor practices, facilitates and administers the collective bargaining process, mediates workplace conflicts, and prepares and coordinates disciplinary actions, grievances and arbitration.

  • Familiar with Workday system on guidance, assisting Employees and Manager in completing the necessary procedures.
