What is the role?

The Senior Security Analyst will be the technical lead responsible for monitoring and investigating anomalous network activity and alerts, participating in triage / mitigation of threats, and threat hunting to develop new use cases to improve the overall Security Monitoring capability.

What will be your key tasks / challenges?

  • Monitoring and investigation of Indicators of attacks from various sources (User Reported, SIEM etc.)
  • Ticket handling, responsibility for contacting both business and customers
  • Working with other internal Teams for evidence gathering and helping with Ad-hoc requests
  • Performing advanced investigations and proposing proactive measures of protection
  • Provide guidance and direction to the MSSP Service
  • Ability to generate reports and guide analysts
  • Monitoring and analysis of alerts and anomalous network activity
  • Threat hunting in pursuit of additional use cases
  • Leverage threat intelligence to tune tools and alerts
  • Present incident briefs and new use cases to leadership
  • Mentor Tier-1 Analysts
  • What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in information security fields
  • 4+ years of experience in cyber security event analysis in large corporate environments as part of a Cyber Incident Response function
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with creation of security use-cases, security alerting and supporting processes
  • Extensive background with security analysis related technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, case management, scanning tools, etc.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity-related regulations, enterprise-level information systems and technology architectures
  • A solid understanding of ISO2700X and ITIL
  • Familiarity with risk management and controls frameworks, cyber kill chain and SANS Incident Handling lifecycle
  • Strong track-record of managing performance to deliver against challenging KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Being able to work with a diverse set of stakeholders in the organization from technical through board level
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English and German
