Mission - Your mission is to build the Data Ecosystem as the foundation for Data-Driven Product Development in PwC’s Digital Factory.
Impact & Responsibilities - You are responsible for enabling our engineering teams to build and ship secure solutions. You achieve this by designing, building and deploying state of the art security alongside our software / infrastructure engineering teams.
You understand the necessity to streamline security alongside the agile software development lifecycle and ensure secure-by-default systems.
As a Security Engineer you will be responsible for hardening PwC’s Cloud & Kubernetes environments.
Work together - You mentor and train other team members on security design techniques and standards. You work with internal stakeholders to understand their needs.
You are also responsible for implementing best practices and providing feedback to team members through peer reviews.
You have a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of three years of experience in Security Engineering roles.
You are skilled in ensuring / automating / testing the security of sensitive environments. You have worked with Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Hashicorp Vault, Apache Ranger, Ansible, Terraform, Linux and security tools ().
Experience in working with Azure or similar Cloud Providers is also part of your skillset.
You have a broad knowledge of security and systems, cloud services, as well as a deep knowledge of containers and Kubernetes.
Real-world production Kubernetes experience is also a must-have.
You are enthusiastic, have a go-for-it attitude and want to deliver quickly and iterate fast. When you see something broken, you can't help but fix it.
You like to collaborate and communicate asynchronously.
You are a team player, and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams. You like to share your knowledge and experience and can document all the things so you don't need to learn the same thing twice.
You are fluent in written and spoken German and English.
