The Role
As part of the global Legal team, you will assist the European Legal Counsel in supporting the European sales teams with contract and contract process questions, negotiation, and drafting.
The Contracts Manager / Counsel will ensure that legal matters are handled in the best interests of Veeva and appropriately reflect Veeva’s policies and business practices, including the legal directives of the Veeva Legal Department.

What You'll Do
Negotiate and draft all types of customer agreements
Identify legal, financial, and business issues for resolution
Work closely with the German, Swiss, and Austrian sales teams and be responsible for specific European-wide sales teams
Coordinate with internal subject matter experts as well as external counsel
Act as a resource and advisor to non-contract professionals
Establish and maintain scalable contracting processes and templates
Support European Legal Counsel and the European legal team
Requirements
German Law Degree
Second State Exam (Fully Qualified)
Excellent and effective
English language and German verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a passion for being part of a high performing team
Strong interpersonal skills, with a friendly, outgoing, and flexible manner
Comfortable recognizing key legal document types and basic terms
Competence in legal / commercial terms and identifying those that require approval
Ability to translate and / or verify agreements from German to English and English to German
Ability to identify and evaluate risk
Motivated self-starter
Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines
Assist with other corporate initiatives as required
Establish and build good working relationships with internal clients, based on mutual trust and respect, as well as knowledge of the company’s business, needs, and goals
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Nice to Have
Previous experience of sell-side contracting experience preferably in a fast-paced technology company
Familiarity with data privacy, including GDPR, and information security
