Position Summary

The Sales Specialist is a specialist sales role responsible for promoting NTT Security’s managed security services as well as the consulting services in such a way that is accessible by different stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise.

He / She demonstrates NTT Security’s capability and experience in the relevant specialist area thereby creating more depth in current client accounts and identifying opportunities with prospects and helping NTT channels identify the right opportunity.

Sales Specialists may be called upon by Operating Company client staff to lead pursuit of managed security or security consulting service opportunities and will also prospect independently within both clients and prospects demonstrating market and domain expertise on the topic of Cyber Security.

Essential Functions

  • Build effective relationships across all functional parts of our business and ensure formal relationships and implement strategic programs to foster growth.
  • Regularly achieve assigned quota targets through collaboration with client managers and independent prospecting activities.
  • The target is cumulative based on the activity of the channel and your business development activity.

  • Act as solution expert to Operating Companies for sales security expertise and selling for MSS and Consulting
  • Engage clients at a detailed level to gain an understanding of the business issues and objectives driving the client's needs
  • Work with the various operating companies and direct stakeholders within NTTS to ensure we are incorporating all areas of our security practice into the managed security service needs and security consulting needs of our clients, prospects and potential OpCo sales members
  • Contribute to strategic planning activities across existing & prospective client bases to identify and position opportunities based on line of business and regional strategies
  • Maintain strong technical awareness of managed security and security consulting and general awareness for all service offerings within NTT Security

  • As a domain sales expert, act as a thought leader for clients and help create a solution roadmap for client to follow
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors or higher is required, preferably in Information Technology or Business
  • Relevant partner certifications highly desired
  • Work Experience

  • Senior Sales Specialist have at least 10 years of directly relevant sales experience, including direct experience with target solutions
  • Proven success in managed services, consultative selling and collaborative sales models is required
  • Proven success in both new client acquisition and client expansion preferred
  • Skills and Core Competencies

  • Expertise with target solutions and how they impact a client's business
  • Strong consultative selling skills consistent with NTT Security's Solution Selling methodology
  • Team player able to collaborate with others in the sales process
  • Effective at strategic account planning
  • In depth knowledge of business drivers related to customer needs
  • Effective interacting and relationship building at senior levels as well as technical levels within the client environment
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone, presentation, and writing skills
  • Ability to negotiate / influence
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply in the field
  • Motivated to hunt for new opportunities and expand client relationships
