Purpose & Function Description :

The general purpose is to be a financial consultant to the respective business partner by giving recommendations to enable and drive fact-based decision-making.

These functions support and steer the business to achieve (financial) targets as well as the strategy based on the analysis of number indicators.

This is supported by the creation of transparency about business performance through cost (-center) controlling, business controlling and eventually performance management.

As part of the Group Functions Finance, TECH Finance is responsible for financial controlling and cost management and provides tailored key performance indicators for the TECH organization.

As a business partner we enable fact-based decision making, best practise sharing and continuous process improvement by creating transparency on impact and dependencies of core cost and service drivers.

We derive corresponding solution through application of state of the are analytical tools and business expertise.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Partner with the assigned TECH areas and respective Finance stakeholders
  • Enable fact-based decision by creating transparency throughout the Budget and Forecast process
  • Communicate timelines and deliverables to appropriate Finance and business contacts
  • Consolidate all assigned TECH area locations and ensure global transparency
  • Communicate timely and relevant overviews to senior management for appropriate decisions during the processes
  • Manage medium sized projects and / or actively participate in projects; implement results and ensure sustainability of achievements
  • Develop and implement adequate and aligned communication packages to present results, recommendations and solutions
  • Constantly optimize day to day processes and systems
  • Develop and implement state of the art analytic tools
  • Support the execution of business partner and Finance strategy. Works towards the achievement of department targets
  • Identify improvement potential through variance analysis, derive solutions and facilitate related decisions
  • Manage & execute standardized reporting and ad hoc analysis
  • Manage cost centres and support cost centre managers in all financial tasks (e.g. investment and recruitment requests, cost recharges, etc.)
  • Be primary contact to cost center managers for assigned area of responsibility
  • Provide expertise for assigned functional areas / systems and processes towards team and business partners.
  • Ensure smooth operation of day to day business by taking on ownership for related actions
  • Key Relationships :

  • TECH assigned area of responsibility relevant 1st and 2nd line Managers
  • Group Finance support area for market locations
  • Respective market FP&A teams
  • HRM of respective TECH area / market
  • CPPM
  • Group Accounting
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Deep business understanding of processes and structure
  • High degree of customer orientation
  • Very good communication and influencing skills
  • Being able to communicate clearly in order to deliver information and recommendations to key business partners at Senior Management level
  • Ability to maneuver in consistently challenging environment
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally and understanding of external business drivers
  • Understanding of the complexity, interactions and dynamics within an international company
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Very good analytical skills
  • Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications :

  • University Degree in Business Administration / Finance / Controlling
  • System expertise : Very good knowledge of MS Office products Excel and Powerpoint, SAP skills are preferred
  • Generic knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
  • 5 years of work experience
