Position Description :

We are seeking for our Global Accounts division a Global Account Manager (GAM)for our Data Center offerings. The GAM will work with some of Lenovo’s largestand most complex Global customers, and will be part of the Data Center Salesorganization aimed to be the best in class sales force in acquiring andmaintaining the customer relationship via a dedicated sales force made of acombination of Inside Sales and Global Account Managers.

The GAM will be responsible for managing and expanding the e2e clientrelationship across the total Lenovo Data Center portfolio (Server, Storage,Networking, Solutions and services), driving revenue, profit, and customersatisfaction for Lenovo’s largest and most strategic accounts.

This is aclient facing sales role requiring deep industry experience, the ability toidentify, cultivate, and close new business, and expertise working large dealsat the C level.

The GAM will also develop strategies for profit and pricing proposals, as wellas communicate and understand Total Cost of Ownership, industry trends, andcritical success factors for leading effective IT deployments.

And more thanthat will also be engaged with extended teams in responding to RFPs (Requestfor Proposals), product transition plans, and resource planning.

Key responsibilities will include the following :

  • Proactive solutions selling while delivering on sales targets in data centerbusiness
  • Develop solutions matched to client's requirements and close the opportunity
  • Implement, and execute an effective sales strategy to achieve sales goals
  • negotiate with key decision makers, develop relationships with them andserve as a trusted consultant to customers
  • Understand and adapt to Lenovo’s ongoing product and services developments
  • Utilize a structured and repeatable business process to enable strategic andaccurate pipeline management.
  • Collaborate across Lenovo’s fast paced and highly matrixed organization
  • Position Requirements :

  • 7 + years of successful customer facing sales experience in data center isrequired.
  • Demonstrated track record of performance with global accounts
  • Possesses C-level executive relationships within an account
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements
  • Curiosity about the changing technology industry
  • Travel to any or all customer sites when appropriate
  • Fluent in German and English language
  • The position can be located in Stuttgart, Frankfurt / Main, Munich or homeoffice based.
