Chief Design Engineer - Automation (m / f / d)
We are looking for a Chief Design Engineer - Automation to join our team in Oberursel as soon as possible.
Main tasks :
Carrying out concept development, basic and detailed engineering with a focus on automation in cooperation with project engineers from other disciplines
Study of tender documents, bid processing and cost determination
Preparation of technical requisitions for automation systems
Preparation of automation concepts with special attention to the integration of so-called "package units" (provided by the customer or the client)
Drawing up specifications for all equipment’s of automation technology
Develop project documentation for input to automation system supplier, such as cause & effects, functional descriptions, system control diagrams, program sequence descriptions, I / O list, philosophies etc)
Follow up automation system supplier from PO to delivery, reviewing and approving documents (such as signal list, topology drawing, procedures, screen layouts, etc), and participating in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
Bid comparisons and technical support of the purchasing department in the procurement of automation equipment
Support of suppliers during implementation planning and preparation of final documentation
Quality monitoring at manufacturers (in the sense of supporting order processing and maintaining knowledge of the current state of the art)
Contribute to the functional safety process and prepare the required PCM documentation / calculations
Participate in inspections and tests at suppliers and construction sites for erection support as well as customer handovers
Coordinate automation engineering issues with other trades such as electrical, process, plant, piping and civil engineering
Your qualifications :
Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant study
Fluent in English and German both written and orally
For oil and gas (if relevant), experience from offshore projects, knowledge about API RP 14C, Norsok standard and DNV rules and regulations
