Director of Global Corporate Sales

The Director of Global Corporate Sales initiates, plans, directs and manages the implementation of the global corporate strategy activities by the GSO team for the Kempinski Hotels Worldwide.

The incumbent will manage identified / allocated key accounts within the corporate transient segment. Moreover, the incumbent will identify corporate MICE market opportunities from within the corporate meeting planner segment and other allocated regions as defined as well as identify and develop potential Global RFP and S.

M.E accounts within the assigned geographical area (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) for all Kempinski Hotels

Key responsibilities :

  • Ensure the revenue targets from the agreed personal key account portfolio and geographical areas of responsibility are achieved
  • The agreed annual segment objectives are to be underpinned with key measurable strategies / actions to achieve both account revenue share growth and new acquisition.
  • Provide clear communication and information on key accounts provided to all hotels, GSO’s and major stakeholders.
  • To have a clear strategy in place for each allocated account outside the Top 10 that demonstrates the annual objective of : Annual revenue growth, hotel inclusion growth or a protect and maintain strategy
  • New account development, with the objective to uncover corporate transient and corporate MICE for Kempinski Hotels.
  • To provide strategic direction to the hotels and to the company on the corporate transient and corporate group segment
  • To communicate Group enquiries to respective hotels in an efficient, professional and accurate way according to the MICE SOP’s with support of the Global Sales Coordinator.
  • Organization & participation in regional roadshows, exhibitions, trade fairs, sales blitzes, joint hotel sales, GHA events and marketing activities.
  • Initiate, coordinate and participate in educational trips to Kempinski destinations prioritizing key hotels.
  • Arrange and conduct client sales visits and presentations on a weekly basis.
  • The ability to offer assistance to need hotels and new openings by developing individual activity plans as and when required.
  • Be responsible for the budget segment expenditure budget within the assigned geographical area (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
  • Participation in regular GSO meetings, Regional Sales meetings and team meetings.
  • To monitor market trends and competitor analysis and communicate these to the hotels and internal stakeholders.
  • To actively participate in industry associates such as ACTE, GBTA and VDR for the benefit of education and networking and promotion of Kempinski hotels.
  • Ensure accurate and current product knowledge of Kempinski Hotels at all times to facilitate effective sales communication
