Your mission

This role is a high value-add position managing and developing Central Europe End Users and OEM customers, working within the sales team reporting directly to the regional sales manager.

The role

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for defining, implementing and driving the strategic business plan for his / her key account(s).

Proactively managing established relationships with all customers whilst actively pursuing major prospects and will lead in major negotiations constructing appropriate terms of sales.

You will strive to position Edwards as the preferred supplier of product and services within the region.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To influence and grow the development of Edwards business in the territory, growing sales through development, targets & strategies of market penetration plans for the territory.
  • Analyze market potential for new products and applications.
  • Development of key relationships within the customer organization to influence investment / purchasing decision making.
  • Creation of and implementation of initiatives that will enable the delivery of sales objectives of the Semiconductor business division.
  • Be willing to spend >
  • 60% of your time in direct face to face contact with customers.

  • Work with Customer Care and internal Sales support teams and internal marketing / product teams such that Edwards provides first class support to the customer base.
  • Achievement of Sales, Orders and Profitability budgets for direct account base.
  • Skills and experience

  • At least 10+ years experience in the Cryogenic area
  • A demonstrable track record of Sales success and skills, with at least 10 years’ experience in the semiconductor or related industry.
  • Significant product, applications and vacuum science expertise, giving the ability to specify the best solution for the customer.
  • Good commercial skills and awareness.
  • Good understanding of contractual terms and conditions and negotiation capability in order to mitigate Edwards risk and exposure within the company rules.
  • Strong relationship development skills.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to create appropriate communication networks.
  • Capability to outline and sell the strengths of Edwards solutions.
  • Degree in an Engineering Discipline.
  • Appropriate language for the geography, good English language, written and spoken.
  • Extensive travelling within the territory and occasionally other Edwards sites.
