    Tasks & responsibilities

  • As Head of Auditing, you lead the global auditing team in Quality Medicine and support BI Medicine functions by defining and implementing a risk-based audit strategy to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulations.
  • Thereby, you consider high-quality science-based medical principles, patients’ needs, and assess risks to safeguard patients’ medical well-being.
  • You act as cross-functional medical auditing expert and provide input to projects in Medicine, as requested.
  • In this context, you support clinical development projects by providing recommendations based on risk assessments.
  • You continuously improve auditing methodologies, skills, and competencies in line with / ahead of industry and regulatory standards in consideration of input from all Medicine business functions.
  • In addition, you provide consultancy and share best practices across business functions with respect to compliance, process improvement, efficiency, as well as harmonization with other auditing organizations within BI.

    • Requirements

  • University degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D., and / or M.Sc.) in medicine, pharmacy, or natural sciences
  • Several years leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry / CROs / regulatory authorities, and / or academia , ideally across various functions in clinical development
  • Proficient knowledge of GCP / CSV / GxP regulations, quality management systems, internal processes and procedures with ability to assess their impact
  • Proven risk management and auditing skills
  • Experience in interacting with regulatory authorities, i.e. regulatory inspections
  • Strong interpersonal, intercultural, and communication skills with expertise in leading cross-functional, global teams
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
