You support automation in the material diffusion analysis. This is a unique opportunity that combines traditional experimentation with modern image processing and machine learning algorithms.
From the first day on the responsibility to create a robust automatic analysis procedure for the diffusion process in solder joints.
You develop design and perform experiments to analyze the diffusion process occurring solder joints.
The job includes the creation of efficient algorithms to extract quantitative information from solder joint microstructure and model the data to obtain diffusion parameters.
At last you evaluate the verification of the model with different material systems.
Education : Studies in the field of material science, natural science or engineering
Personality and Working Practice : goal-oriented, independent and responsible
Experience and Knowledge : experience in metallography and a knowledge in programming (MATLAB and ImageJ)
Qualification : passionate about programming
Languages : english fluent, german is an advantage
Start : according to prior agreement
Duration : 3 - 6 months (confirmation of mandatory internship required)
