Automotive Central Electronic Plants operates currently 30 manufacturing sites worldwide for automotive components, employing more than 40,000 people.
Building the first Continental manufacturing plant in Kaunas, Lithuania is an important part of our growth strategy in Europe.

In the new Kaunas plant products of the business units Body & Security and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems will be manufactured.

Start of production is planned for Quarter 3, 2019.
Head of Plant SCM is initially responsible for the setting up of logistics and warehouse area in the green field :
Concept material flow, repack area, loading dock, receiving of material etc., finalize and execution of material flow -
feedback to the layout and the floor planning team on the logistics and warehouse needs.
Define warehouse management concept and plan order of material (racks, shelves, forklifts, containers etc.)
Plan and set up of the plant supply chain organization
After initialization of the plant, the responsibilities will be but not limited to :
Organization and control of the logistics activities at the production location with the objective of achieving cost and cash flow benefits, delivery reliability and customer satisfaction through the best possible logistics services (flow of material, value, information) as well as optimizing the processes and the use of resources.
Ensure the achievement of logistics goals according to internal and external customer expectations
Drive the implementation of programs and initiatives to minimize logistics cost and optimize inventories and delivery performance
Initiate and implement the process improvements and productivity measures, to secure the plant and BU targets
Initiating measures to eliminate bottlenecks in the supply chain and taking the responsibility for delivery performance
Controlling and monitoring of supplier performance, quality management systems and delivery reliability to production line
Checking and monitoring of key performance indicators in order to intervene at an early stage and at short notice and be able to initiate and carry through corresponding measures for improvement
Drive production and material planning, inventory control
Management of shortages to ensure supply of the customer
Involvement in supplier sourcing by logistics expertise
Logistical coordination of Product Termination Notification and Product Change Notification

Job Requirements
Bachelor degree or master degree or similar in business administration, engineering or equivalent
Several years of professional experience in various logistics functions
Experience in automotive business and understanding of automotive environment
Cross functional experience preferred, e.g. Engineering, Quality, Purchasing
Experience with Logistic Processes
Several years experience in a leadership position, preferably in operational units with functional and disciplinary responsibility
Experience in working with international teams on logistic topics
Intercultural competencies and understanding
