Your role and your team : Â

  • You will report directly to the Chief Program Officerand will also be a member of the leadership team of the Chief Quality Officer.
  • You will be responsible, together with the head of Quality Management, for the definition of the Programme Quality Plan (PQP) sýnchronized with the Programme Development Plan (PDP)
  • Your perimeter will include the Part 21J and Part 21G requirements, as well as the CAMO and MOA.
  • You will have the unique responsibility to monitor the deployment in line with the PQP of the Quality capabilities which are needed for the successful Development and Entry into Service of the Aircraft.
  • You will also have the responsibility to ensure a systematic deployment of APQP (EN9145) for all the critical items of the Programme, in the Engineering, Production and Supply Chain areas; in line with the PQP.
  • You will participate to the definition and monitor the implementation of the end-to-end (Suppliers to Production, to Commercial Airline operations) Quality Management database which will enable the transition of Quality actions from corrective to preventive, thus ensuring superior Supply Chain performance of Lilium in the fast-growing Urban Air Mobiliy market.
  • Your Day to Day :

  • Collaborate with the relevant Quality Managers to build the plan towards achievement of Part21J and Part21G capabilities in the Production, Procurement and Engineering areas;
  • and monitor progress versus plan to ensure compatibility with the planned milestones of the Programme Development.

  • Collaborate with the relevant Quality Managers to build the plan towards achievement of the Part145 and CAMO capabilities in the Engineering and Commercial airline areas;
  • and monitor progress versus plan to ensure compatibility withe the planned maliestones of the EIS (entry into Service) and commercial operation of the Aircraft.

  • Participate as an independent member of the panel of the Maturity Gates reviews for the Programme, Systems and critical sub-systems to ensure proper rating (Red, Amber, Green), in respect to the Quality deliverables of the Maturity Gates.
  • You will have the right and duty to declare the gate RED if these conditions are not fulfilled.

  • Collaborate with the relevant Quality and Programme Managers to build the plan for the systematic implementation of APQP in the Integrated Project Teams.
  • Ensure that all key items of the Programme are subject to APQP. Work with the Program Managers to ensure timely execution of the APQP activities, escalate delays and issues during each relevant PRM.

  • Own and maintain the Risk register regarding Quality activities of the Program, and Present the risk register to the Senior Leadership Team, focusing on the critical gaps and issues relating to the Quality aspect of the Programme, and work wit the relevant Quality Managers to present the solutions to enable a rapid decisions making
  • Collaborate with the relevant Quality Managers to proactively identify staffing or skills gaps in the Quality organization which could be gating the Programme progress, and to propose solutions to fill these gaps, by staffing or using external resources.
  • Work with the Quality and IT Departments to participate to the functional definition of the end-to-end Quality Management database, recording all relevant SPC (statistical Process Control) and NC (Non-Conformity) information from Tierx Suppliers to the Commercial Airline Operation
  • Act as a focal point in the Programme in case of Quality Escapes which might be safety related items (SARIs) or lead to significant safety events.
  • Work with the Integrated Project Teams, Procurement and Supply Chain Quality organisations to ensure Programme visibility into below topics, as well as the required corrective actions if non-performance :
  • The timely approvals of the suppliers
  • The timely qualification of the couples (Supplier-Item)
  • The implementation of necessary APQP modules by the suppliers
  • The implementation of the links to Lilium Quality Management database
  • The performance in terms of Non-Conformities and Quality escapes
  • Work with the Finance organization to define and monitor at Programme level the Cost of Non-Quality.
  • Lead by example with uncompromising business ethics and respect for People
  • Your Profile :

  • Minimum qualifications / Education : Masters in Engineering and / or Manufacturing
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality roles out of which 5 in utomotive or aerospace environments required
  • Proven experience leading“End to End†implementations of Quality organizations, processes and systems
  • Pragmatic leader with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational mindset.
  • Good knowledge and practice of cloud based solutions for end-to-end data analytics
  • Strong leadership maturity and ability to lead through others
  • Excellent communications skills to build and sustain credibly with all levels of the organisation
  • High sense for urgency with cand-do mindset and customer orientation
  • Eager to learn and adopt his style to a start-up environment; puts the team first; robust and passionate to follow given objectives;
  • uses failure as learning experience

  • Fluent English required, German or any other language desired
