As Senior Manager Sales you will be a key driver of the new, strongly growing business area of Point-of-Sale Mobile Payments within PayPal.

You will play a leading role within the DE Sales Organization, being deeply tied to the European point-of-sale enablement organisation.

Your focus will be a defined group of top players in Germany, with special emphasis on everyday spend verticals such as Groceries, Mobility, Hospitality etc.

With point-of-sale payments being a fairly new and very innovative addition to PayPal’s portfolio, it will feel like having a sales key role within your own startup, but with the power of a strong, industry leading company behind you.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Speerheading sales conversations with a defined group of enterprise customers in the German Point-of-Sale landscape, with special emphasis on everyday spend verticals such as Groceries, Mobility, Hospitality etc.
  • Thus leading business negorations and concluding contracts with effective use of a virtual team supporting each engagement, such as Solution Architects, Product Marketeers, Legal Councils, Partnership Managers etc.
  • Managing your own dedicated pipeline and achieving tangible sales successes within a pre-defined, yet evolving company sales process
  • Build industry-specific knowledge and network with all customers from senior to C-level across multiple functions and departments
  • Developing a good rapport with your counterpars by conveying the specific added value of PayPal in both face-to-face conversations and personal digital meetings to drive the negotiations
  • Distribution of payment solutions, management of (long) sales cycles and complex deal structures
  • Presentations to key internal and external stakeholders and senior management

  • Has broad Business Development, Key Account or Sales experience in B2B contexts, with strong prove of delivering overachieving sales results consistently.
  • Feels comfortable having strategic discussions and negotiations with various stakeholders from multi-billion volume clients, all the way up to C-level
  • Has existing experience and stakeholder network in key point-of-sale industries with everyday spend character such as Groceries, Mobility, Hospitality etc.
  • Enjoys working in an agile environment, with product features evolving in conjuction with sales success and the opportunity to influence the product roadmap based on customer feedback
  • Lives and breaths professionalism has uncompromising diligence and reliability in speech and action towards external and internal stakeholders.
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills to work in a cross-functional team in a matrix organization with international focus.
  • Has a well-tuned understanding of commercial models and can think and act commercially understanding the financial implications of negotiaions
  • Possesses discipline in action, as well as planning and multi-tasking skills
  • Thrives in an environment of continuous change, ambiguity and complexity.
  • Is results oriented, team player, fun, energetic personality, works well under pressure.
  • Is Fluent in German and English.
  • Has At least a few years of relevant working experience.
  • Has Bachelors / Masters Degree or Equivalent.
