HEGGEL® GmbH , a leading company active in the field of industrial protective coating systems, based in Essen- Germany is seeking entry level polymer or chemistry engineers / chemical or material scientists to join its team.
As a valued and important member of HEGGEL you will be expected to handle the responsibilities in a structured and autonomous manner and work predominantly in office environment.
We innovatively design and produce high-performance corrosion protection coatings, linings and floorings for different fields of application.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assisting sales and commercial team, taking on responsibility for technical projects
Responsible for the acquisition of new customers and the support of the distributors; identify customer and market needs and translate into opportunities
Independently finding the most effective and competitive solution to customers problems using sound engineering and chemistry principles as well as company’s literature, knowledgeable in handling chemicals and materials
Responding to questions and concerns from various internal and external parties regarding products, testing, application and development
Evaluating, selecting and obtaining materials as necessary, along with the corresponding literature and safety / technical datasheets
Supporting product development, assisting rapid, successful commercialization of new products
Responsibilities may include assisting in planning and operation of R&D projects for polymer coatings, adhesives and linings, needing a good command of chemistry, product lines, and materials, assisting with determining quality standards
Developing reports and drawing conclusions detailing tests, projects, and overall results; driving the cooperation with respective internal and external parties
Willingness to learn new things and perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ideal candidate will be a Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Material Science graduate
A high level of professionalism by communicating with internal departments, formulation scientists and other sales representatives as well as suppliers, and most importantly customers
Prior sales experience helpful but not necessary
Ability to search and interpret literature as well as gaining insight into competitor technology
Prioritizing daily project activities and maintaining project timelines
Competent in using MS-Office applications
Complete written and spoken fluency in German and English
