Converge is a one stop shop for all and any supply chain needs. As one of the most successful parts of Arrow, and a leader in its field, Converge is growing aggressively and currently looking to hire a sales leader for DACH region to be an important part of our success story.

The person selected for this role will report to EMEA Sales Director EMEA and take responsibility for building and implementation of departmental business plans and the achievement of individual and team goals.

They will also support Director with the development and retention of the company's account base and sales team and with department administration and reporting.

Regional Sales Manager DACH will work with relevant stakeholders to ensure all account management strategies and sales team members produce high quality low loss transactions in line with company standards.

They will manage a team of 7 sales people across 3 offices in Putzbrunn, Neu Isenburg & Düsseldorf.

The person selected for this position can be based in Putzbrunn, Neu Isenburg or Düsseldorf and will be required to travel frequently between this sites as well as internationally.

Role responsibilities :

  • building and implementing sales and management strategy and to achieve corporate objectives
  • ensuring sales team members are developing and retaining assigned account base within a specific market segment, ensuring all new accounts are identified within assigned market segment and that each division or facility are profiled, targeted and professionally serviced
  • regular meetings with Team Leaders, Product Line Specialists and sales team members to discuss account management strategies, transaction volumes, membership service and satisfaction levels
  • recruiting, training, coaching, developing and retaining new team members
  • assigning market segment for new team members to focus upon, monitoring phone calls, providing constructive input, and coaching each new group member on Converges standards of performance and methods to achieve them
  • managing team performance and ensuring each team member updates the database; monitoring phone time and other applicable performance standards
  • assisting EMEA Sales Director in all HR issues, including conducting quarterly reviews with each team member to ensure they are receiving the appropriate feedback regarding their performance
  • ensuring professional behavior from each group member at all times
  • preparing periodic reports for EMEA Sales Director detailing objectives, accomplishments and highlights new accounts, large deals, etc.
  • extensive interaction with external customers and / or vendors
  • Role requirements :

  • previous experience and successful track record in management of sales teams
  • ability to build report, credibility and trust
  • experience of handling meetings and conversations with highest priority business customers
  • background in electronics a must, experience in distribution will be an advantage but is not necessary
