OneSubsea curently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Welding Engineer to join the Team in Celle, Germany.The Welding Engineer is part of a specialist team for welding, working closely together with non-

destructive testing and materials staff. Roles and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following -

  • As an expert and contact person for all welding related questions, you will provide advice to Engineering for welding subjects.
  • You will prepare welding procedure specifications and perform welding qualifications for our in-house production and take care for regular welder qualifications.
  • You will maintain and improve continuously the welding processes in the plant shop based on a regular analysis of welding defects.
  • The review and approval of supplier welding documents are in your responsibility. Besides, you will support suppliers’ audits as a subject matter expert.
  • You will support supplier development for welding and respond and provide advice for supplier NCRs and deviation requests.
  • You will closely work with Project Teams and other departments such as Procurement and Quality.
  • You will build up your own internal network and a network across the locations and exchange experiences with other special matter experts of OneSubsea and Schlumberger regarding technical innovations, processes etc.

    Minimum Job Qualifications

    Minimum Job Requirements : University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar education associated with professional experience.

    Profound knowledge of materials science and engineering technology with a strong focus on metallurgy.Experience in a metal processing industry with the focus on welding technology is desirable together with professional experience in non-

    destructive testing.Very good command of written and spoken English is essential.Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

    Good self-assertion and negotiating skills and the capability to solve conflicts constructively. Preferred Job Requirements : Degree of International Welding Engineer and familiarity with quality relevant standards and specifications (ASME Section IX, AWS D1.

    1, NACE MR 0175 und API 6A).
