You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, business stakeholders, designers, and other writers and work in cross-functional teams that have end-to-end responsibility for solving meaningful customer problems from ideating through prototyping and user testing to bringing features live and checking their performance.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
Act as a customer advocate throughout the process while being a great sparring partner for your fellow designers and product managers.
Discover unmet needs for Zalando products and identify opportunities to make them more powerful and usable.
Define copy strategy that influences, expands, and translates product benefits and product (and) brand strategy into marketable narratives, compelling information architectures, and coherent messaging.
Break down the complexity of various products into a seamless and enjoyable experience. Work with research to make sure we’re focussing on the right problems and opportunities.
Design human-centered solutions using language that scales across markets and locales. Write informative and engaging interaction and content-first copy.
Ensure that experiences follow design principles to reach our communication objectives. Conceptualise inspirational, shoppable, and scalable content formats that help diverse types of customers feel confident in their comfort zone and comfortable with going beyond it.
Set the standards for how copy reads, looks, and feels.
Deliver the best copy (strategy) by shepherding it through to localisation. Provide excellent and clearly detailed documentation to product managers and engineers.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
To land a senior or principal position you will show and explain creative, commercially-relevant design work and content you have planned, led, and realised.
You can demonstrate a solid range of UX writing skills built on top of brand, marketing, product marketing, or editorial experience and have a track record in human-centered storytelling.
You facilitate and communicate clearly, set stakeholder expectations, share knowledge and insights, explain design / copy rationales, build common understanding, and spread excitement around a customer experience vision.
You are willing to challenge, convince, motivate, and inspire to get remarkable and marketable solutions delivered to your audiences.
You understand where e-commerce and the fashion industry stand today. You are excited about the technical opportunities on a vast, multi-market, multi-language platform whether we’re talking microcopy, video, or chatbots that sound human (without pretending to be).
