Manage accounts payable from invoice recording to payment
Own month-end and year-end activities (e.g. prepare monthly accruals and deferrals)
Contribute to internal and external financial reporting streams on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis
Support monthly and quarterly VAT filings, both domestically and internationally
Prepare of local financial statements (German GAAP) and support the audit with external partners
Take part in various projects (e.g. automation, process improvements around monthly reporting and daily operations, cost center reporting, balance sheet clean ups)
2+ years of professional experience in accounting or auditing
Experience in subscription business models is a plus
Successfully completed training as accountant or tax assistant or comparable commercial training, university degree in a related field is a plus
Sound knowledge of local accounting rules (i.e. German GAAP / HGB) and basic understanding of tax regulations
Additional qualification such as WP, StB, CPA, CA or ACCA is a plus
Confident handling of accounting programs (e.g. DATEV) as well as proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel
Experience with document management systems
Willingness to have a diverse set of tasks and responsibilities and the ambition to learn and grow
Strong conceptual & problem solving ability, analytical skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team
Fluent in English and German with excellent written communication skills
