Within the framework of independent research projects as well as in cooperation with ongoing projects of the Institute, the work of the ELSA group is intended to ensure that civil security research and technology development are conducted with a high degree of responsibility towards society.
In particular, research projects are implemented that aim to analyse the ethical, legal and social aspects of security research and security technology and to translate their current implications into transparent guidance for research and future users.
For this purpose, competences from the fields of law, humanities and social sciences are bundled in the group.
