Applicants with professional experience
University degree in Computer Science or similar, technical subject
At least 5 years relevant work experience
Candidate must be extensively hands-on on Data integration skills with tools like Informatica, DataStage, know-how on Business intelligence tool considered as advantage
Extreme fluency in SQL , SQL / PL-SQL, Oracle Exadata is needed
Hands-on experience in enterprise orchestration tool such as control-M, Shell scripting and unix is must
ETL fine tuning skills and data modelling skills are absolute necessary
Good understanding of Data lake , Operational Data store and DWH concepts is needed
Exposure to Bigdata platforms e.g Clouderra / Data bricks etc will be added advantage
Experience with Real-time technologies (wire protocol like AMQP and TCP / IP) and ability to handle semi structure data like SWIFT, FIX will be an added advantage
Experience in CI / CD pipeline and exposure to DevOps methodologies will be considered as added advantage
Knowledge on Financial Markets, systems and process will be an added advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English with the ability to interact with business and technical IT management teams
Your tasks and responsibilities
The Data Warehouse Engineer plays a managerial role where he / she provides day-to-day support of the data warehouse and troubleshoots existing procedures and process
As application owner he / she plays is highly collaborative and, he / she works closely with Subject matter experts with other disciplines / departments and teams across the business in coming up with simple, functional, and elegant solutions
He / she defines and promotes the department’s best practices and design principles for data warehousing techniques and architecture.
The Data Warehouse Engineer additionally strives to improve data organization and accuracy. In this capacity, he troubleshoots performance issues and see to it that SLA is adhered
The Data Engineer also plays a key role in technological decision making for the future data, analysis, and reporting needs.
He supports the business’s daily operations inclusive of troubleshooting and identify delivery mechanisms for acquiring and reporting such information as well as addressing the actual needs
It is core duty of the Data Warehouse Engineer’s duty to provide technical expertise to the business on business intelligence data architecture
