Lead Engineer (f / m / d)

Your Role

  • Ensure all works on site are carried out in line with the appropriate safe system of works and permit system
  • Monitor compliance to SLA deliverables to the client areas within the Data Centre
  • Operate internal processes and work within site specific standard operating procedures
  • Co-ordinate plant start-ups and shutdowns after major maintenance activities or post repair
  • Develop and review operating procedures for both general and emergency use
  • Responsible for ensuring all sub-contractors working in operational areas are supervised to work within the agreed limitation of their work permits
  • Provide the Technical Support to the team ensuring that the site is run safely, efficiently and in line with industry best practice
  • Your Profile

  • Experience and knowledge of critical building infrastructure and systems, such as Electrical, Mechanical and Building Fabric, ideally within a data center or related environment
  • Recognised vocational training such as electrical engineering, industrial / energy systems, refrigeration engineering or mechatronics
  • Relevant equipment experience, e.g. UPS, HVAC, generators, fire / life safety systems
  • Experience of supervising colleagues and on-site contractors, supporting the site management team with the effective deployment of resource within a 24 / 7 mission critical environment
  • Extensive experience of health and safety, quality management and statutory compliance
  • Effective communication skills and customer focus with a wide range of internal and external customers including fluent German and a good level of English (written and spoken)
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission critical environment. The flexibility to work as part of our Call Out rota
