THE ROLE & THE TEAM

Product Offer Platform (POP) is a central team that has a direct impact on the customer experience. We provide capabilities that ensure great customer experiences, by only displaying the best product offers to our customers, and providing the relevant information to partners in order to maximise their sales on the platform.

In real time and across all markets, we combine product data with price and stock information to create offers and validate they are of high quality before presenting them to customers.

We allow customers to express their preferences between offers, for instance, between the best priced offer or the fastest one.

In collaboration with stakeholders responsible for the partner tools, we create effective feedback loops to optimise both the onboarding time of assortment as well as partner’s sales in the Zalando Platform.

As a Principal Product Manager in the POP team, you will drive the strategy for these capabilities. This will initially involve developing a deep understanding of Zalando’s commercial and technical landscape.

You will bring clarity, and in collaboration with POP’s leadership team, you will drive the roadmap and strategy for these capabilities and align it with stakeholders across the organisation in order to evolve them to support the wider Zalando Group Strategy.

  • WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • Experience : Several years of product management experience, preferably in e-Commerce. You have worked in matrixed organisations and / or have worked closely with leadership teams, influencing and helping them make key decisions to move forward.
  • Customer focus : You have a strong customer orientation and always keep their perspective in mind. You also have service orientation and enjoy helping stakeholders overcome their challenges.
  • Analytical skills : You have a structured approach to solving complex problems. You have experience in analysing data and deriving insights from it.
  • You can clearly and succinctly explain complex domains, problems spaces and solutions to stakeholders with limited context.

  • Commercially oriented : Even when working in technical environments, your focus remains on understanding the commercial implications of product decisions.
  • Effective networker : Your curiosity and proactivity allow you to own and drive topics without much central steering. You build your personal network and identify interdependencies or sources of mutual value to create optimal solutions..
  • Product methodologies : You are diligent, detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize requests and deliverables according to the company’s overall strategy and goals.
  • You know how to define a product roadmap and have experience in working with stakeholders on delivering the expected business benefits.
