Thermo Fisher Scientific is currently recruiting for a Temporary field based Technical Sales Specialist to cover in the South DACH region the Next Gen Sequencing consumables portfolio and generate also leads for instruments.
The successful candidate will have the ability to build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and life science customers, position and sell relevant products across customer applications.
The Next Gen Sequencing TSS will have strong technical and product expertise and will lead the sales process for Ion platforms in the non-clinical oncology market.
Develop and manage to a business plan to meet or exceed business goals agreed upon with Commercial management for the territory.
Partner closely with the Genetic Analysis Sales Representatives and District Manager, as assigned, on account planning and lead generation as identified via workflow solution opportunities.
Consistently and accurately manages sales process including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking using SalesForce system and other designated IT tools.
Develop and maintain current knowledge of next generation sequencing markets, products, and buying practices required to effectively compete in the assigned territory.
Utilize product and application to successfully conduct consultative and strategic selling presentations.
Understand customer goals, priorities and challenges such that company solutions are best positioned to address customer needs.
Experience & Technical Requirements :
Strong NGS knowledge / background
Minimum MSc / BSc or equivalent degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular or Cellular Biology.
Previous sales experience preferred
Requires understanding of commonly-used molecular biology techniques.
Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
High motivation and energy level to develop new business.
Process oriented with demonstrated attention to details.
Must be flexible and willing to travel between 70- 80%
Knowledge of accounts in territory is preferred.
