Give in-depth, hands on customer support to select products, solve technical problems, improve process efficiency and overall quality, based on substantial field experience
Carry out and / or manage internal or external on-part application evaluations
Support resolution of quality problems, understand customer production processes and be effective in auditing and surveying customer plant applications of Henkel products
Accountable for finding root cause of customer issues and their successful resolution
Work together effectively and efficiently as First Customer to Product Development (PD)by evaluating the performance new products in the lab, developing new product application parameters, supporting customer trial or beta site development, and assisting in determining the criteria for new products prior to development
Assist PD by developing test procedures for the characterization of new products, as to ensure adequate (reproducible, repeatable, robust) and relevant (for customers’ use) quality control measures
Ensure proper Application Technology research by acquiring new insights in printing technologies
Communicate and work globally with other parts of Henkel to ensure that latest and best information is available in support of customers
Support key events (exhibitions, conferences, and seminars) by preparation of demonstrators and own participation
Ensure all work is done in line with ISO standards
University level education degree in (Chemical) Engineering
Hands on experience with print technologies (screen, flexo, gravure and digital)
In depth knowledge of printed electronics materials, applications and printing methods is necessary
Experience within the electronics industry in a technical service or manufacturing role is an advantage
Ability to keep abreast of the latest developments in printing industry
Ability to interpret results and dras conclusions from data gathering and make recommendations including identification of new product, application or formulation opportunities
Must have the ability to work on several tasks simultaneously as well as prioritizing project plans to deliver results and manage concurrent project
Proven problem solving skills (in technical environment)
Prepare and conduct effective presentations and technical proposals to customers, internal and external conferences, trade shows and industry association meetings
Must be able to converse and write reports in English in order to communicate with customers and other Henkel locations
Good communication and team working skills, able to work in an international working environment
Fluent English language skills
Must be prepared to travel (>
25 % of time) throughout Europe and occasionally globally to customer and other events
The location is flexible in Europe as it is a field based role.
