You will be working on The Sun Savers app and responsive website but will be part of a wider Sun UX&D team. Sun Savers is the digital loyalty programme for readers of the Sun newspaper and is a high-
profile programme within the business.We are an agile, cross-functional team working together to ensure the digital products can continue to meet the needs of the business and customers by improving the user experience, underlying platform and operational tools for teams.
Sun Savers is critical to the continued success of the brand and despite already having 1 million users the aim is to continue to grow its user base, each year.
This role will sit with the Sun Savers cross functional team helping to embed the UX&D discipline within it, always ensuring the customer has a voice.
It will be an integral role, working alongside a PO, BA, scrum master and an engineering team who will be based off-shore in Sofia.
As a UI designer, you will report to the Head of UX&D for The Sun and will work closely with the other team members creating new features and product enhancements to continuously improve the Sun Savers app and responsive website.
Your role will be pivotal to ensure that our ideas are reflective of the Sun Savers brand and are brought to life to test with customers and excite stakeholders.

Develop the understanding of our visual brand language for existing products
Following our current UCD process and being an advocate for the way we work.
Ideate and create deliverables, scamps and interactive prototypes
Work with the team to build out journeys at lo-fidelity all the way through to prototypes to better visualise products and features, for user research, stakeholder communications and for development teams.
Work closely with colleagues within the wider UX&D teams to ensure learnings are being shared across the board so there's awareness of projects.
Ensure the conceptual designs balance customer and business goals
Champion modular design, usability and accessibility standards
Work in a fast paced environment and be able to work across multiple projects at one time
Continuously problem solve and want to gain a deeper understanding of our customers
Stay abreast of innovations in UI best practices, tools and topics of interest to the UI community and help infuse them back into the team
Experience working across web, mobile web and native apps
Experience in working in collaborative environments alongside other disciplines
Strong ideation skills and the ability to form these into a solid validated concepts
Capable of working in a fast past environment to tight timescales
Experience working with senior level stakeholders
Creative and conceptual thinker
Advanced prototyping skills; experience of one of the following - InVision, Flinto, Principle etc.
Strong presentation skills; story-telling with every project with documentation where necessary
Ability to communicate and articulate design decisions to the team and stakeholders
Ability to manage time well and respond to time constraints accordingly
Relationship building and stakeholder management
Previous experience or an interest in news and publishing would be an advantage
Nice to have :
Ensure that designs are strategically aligned with the practice of user research, analytics and testing.
Experience working to a UCD process and an advocate for this
