The Wireline Networks team within Nokia Technologies, is mandated to develop and maintain patent porfolios that may be leveraged for the benefit of the IP Networking, Optical Networking and Fixed Networking businesses of Nokia.

What you will learn and contribute to

Are you interested in working alongside inventors to protect intellectual property coming from Nokia research and industry-leading businesses of IP Networks, Optical Networks and Fixed Networks

As part of our team, you will :

  • Identify, evaluate and select inventions to patent, and maintain the porfolio for a particular technology area
  • Manage patent applications, including drafting, filing and prosecution, and opposition proceedings when required
  • Provide support to Nokia businesses, including invention mining, patent training, and other advice;
  • Prepare claim charts in view of any product use of our patents
  • Your skills and experience

    You have :

  • At least 5 years patent-related experience, including working with inventors, development of patent portfolios, and prosecution of patent applications;
  • Engineering Degree and practical experience with any of the following technologies : IP switching & routing, network management, optical components, optical transmission, datacenter infrastructure, PON, WiFi, FWA
  • It would be nice if you also had :

  • Patent Attorney, or registered Patent Agent with standing to practice before the USPTO or the EPO.
  • In-house experience at a large telecommunications or similar corporation
