Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation :

Manage initiatives within Brand Strategy contributing to the execution of the Strategic Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategy Management

  • Manage and execute the objectives and operations of the adidas Brand Strategy, a strategic initiative or program. This includes handling the logistics (e.
  • g. making agendas, developing and coordinating the material to be used for the initiative, laying out reports, preparing presentations and communication drafts and setting up workshops, etc.).

  • Access research and insights from various data sources. Develop and present proposals. To develop such proposals, conduct extensive research and record data.
  • Drive communication between stakeholders, coordinators and other staff. Perform liaison duties between initiative owners.
  • Ensure continuous learning with respect to strategy management and communication methods.
  • Monitoring

  • Ensure monitoring of the initiatives as the owner. Assess work carried out in accordance with company procedures and policies.
  • Check that materials are properly used, requirements or other regulations are complied with and schedules are followed. Resolve problems or conflicts that occur.

  • Ensure budget adherence through monthly cost reporting and ensure timely and accurate PO creation.

  • Set day to day objectives and some longer term impact to job area
  • Implements department strategies
  • Easily discernible achievement of results based on service standards, operational targets and department strategy
  • Innovation

  • Improvement and modification of products, processes or working methods as part of the daily work
  • Complexity & Problem solving

  • Wide range of advanced and complicated assignments and / or projects
  • Contributes considerably to the achievement of department and / or project targets
  • Moderately complex problem solving, requiring analysis and independent problem solving
  • Key Relationships :

  • Brand Strategy and Innovation Team
  • Brand Functions (Marketing, Brand Design, Creative Direction, Futures )
  • Merchandising (CTC)
  • Bus (Head Offices, Strategy, Comms, Product,)
  • Global Operations ( Sustainability)
  • Other Global Functions (e.g. Legal, Finance, IT, HR)
  • Agencies and brand partners
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Fluency in English
  • Very good Outlook and Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate across all levels
  • Knowledge of product creation cycle and business milestones

  • Global mindset and ability to work cross-culturally; experience within different countries and / or different cultures
  • Cross-functional experience, ideally within marketing and sales on a Market level. Experience with managing BU relationships preferred.
  • Previous experience in project management and strong facilitation as well as influencing skills
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to create effective, deep and successful working relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of change management processes within a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business KPIs and ability to work with numbers
  • Team player, highly collaborative
  • Specialist in business or technical skills with expert knowledge in some areas of work or systems (business champ).
  • Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications :

  • University degree in Sustainability, Marketing, Economics, Communications, Business Management.
  • Min. 5 years of work experience in Marketing, Strategy, Project Management, or Marketing Research.
  • Cross-functional experience, ideally within marketing, sales or operations with global / local interface
