Your role

As our Head of Sales Automotive (m / f / d), you will lead and ramp-up our automotive sales and business development activities.

Together with the entire Blickfeld team, you will implement our sales goals in the best quality and to our customers’ satisfaction.

You will be responsible to convince our customers (OEMs, Tier-1s, Shuttle Operators) of the benefits of our superior LiDAR technology.

ADAS and AD are extremely fast paced applications with lots of growth opportunities - a fascinating environment to work in.

Your tasks

  • Manage the Blickfeld automotive activities strategically and operationally. You will be responsible for the automotive business development and account management across the product lifecycle (initial concept, development, series, aftermarket)
  • Be the first line of contact for all customer matters as well as business development internationally to market our high-tech LiDAR offering to automotive customers
  • Turn leads into opportunities, initiate the sales process, negotiate and close project deals
  • Find the right international customers and partners, address their needs and talk to the right people at all levels of the organization
  • Be responsible for actively managing the sales pipeline and supporting sales activities with potential and existing customers
  • Enlarge - as we develop - the automotive sales team and ensure a motivated and pleasant working atmosphere
  • Develop and execute our product and market strategy
  • Your profile

  • You have 10+ years professional experience in the automotive industry for a Tier-1 or Tier-2 company
  • You have extensive experience to sell complex, high-tech products, ideally sensors such as LiDAR, Radar or Camera
  • You have a proven track record of turning products and leads into business
  • You have a master’s degree, preferably in business administration, innovation management or an engineering background (or comparable)
  • You are charismatic, have excellent communication and social skills to build long-term customer relationships and to create a uniform team spirit
  • You are open-minded to work in a high-energy team across all departments
  • You have advanced English language skills (written and spoken); German language skills are a plus
  • You are willing to travel and visit customers on site also internationally
