To tackle our growth rate we are looking for senior engineers interested in building the next generation of our communication platform.
As an engineer in a relatively new team, you'll have an opportunity to work on challenging problems in high volume data pipelines as well as low latency user communications as push notifications.
The services you design and build are going to be the main platform for communicating with all our users across many countries.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
Interface internal and external API and provide complete solutions specific to our business case. Optimize our tooling landscape and heavily drive marketing automation (e-mail, push notifications, etc.)
Be a partner with front-end and back-end developers, product managers, UI / UX designers in producing end-to-end solutions
Embrace data-driven approach to feature development (custom user experiences, personalisation, A / B testing)
Build scalable and cloud ready software solutions in our AWS and API-first tech environment.
Decouple and refactor existing software for new services
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience in integrating external and internal API services, 3rd party marketing / communication platforms and are excited about building end-to-end solutions that play a vital role.
Excellent skills in Kotlin. Experience in cloud environments such as AWS is a plus.
Business mindset and are continuously thinking about new ways on how to improve Zalando Lounge through effective and strategic development of internal systems.
Willingness and ability to exchange knowledge with team members in terms of best practices, code quality and tech frameworks.
Ability to communicate ideas, technical concepts, and analysis results in a meaningful way to non-technical colleagues.
