DescriptionEfficio is growing rapidly and expanding our German and Nordics teams. As an established consultancy with 18 years of operations across Europe, and 500 people globally, we opened our first office in Germany in 2016 and our Nordics office, in Denmark, in 2017.

We have since grown the team to 50 in Germany and 20 in the Nordics, with two or three new joiners to each office every month.

As a result, we are now looking to hire an experienced HR Business Partner to cover the German and Nordics offices.

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for translating German and Nordic business requirements into HR services, programmes and initiatives, whilst safeguarding global cohesion and integrity with Efficio’s approach to people.

You will work closely with the German management team, based in Düsseldorf, the Nordics team based in Copenhagen as well as the Global HR team, based in London.

An ideal candidate will have a background in a client-side role, is passionate about people operations and has experience in a key HR area, such as recruitment, rewards, and talent development.

This role will report to the HR Director in London and will have accountability to the German team, in particular to the Vice President for HR in Germany.

There is an experienced Operations Manager in Düsseldorf who carries out the core HR activities in relation to payroll, benefits administration, recruitment logistics, issuing employment contracts, local inductions and staffing.

There is also a dedicated German-language recruiter, based in London, who will continue to lead on German recruitment activities for experienced hires.

In Copenhagen, there is an analyst who provides some logistical support for the team’s project and BD activities but most operational support, including payroll and recruitment, is delivered from London.

The ideal candidate will be expected to spend at least three days a week in the Düsseldorf office, one day a fortnight in Copenhagen and travel regularly to the London office.

Key Responsibilities : I.HR Advisor

I.HR Advisor

Builds strong relationships with local team, enabling you to give trusted advice to management on a range of HR areas, including talent management, local application of global HR policies and processes and the leading on the development of local ones, employee relations and resource planning.

Mature and nuanced when dealing with difficult or sensitive situations.

II.Talent Acquisition

Leads on graduate and inter recruitment activity, as well as working closely with the global recruitment team, including a dedicated German-

language recruiter based in London, to support local recruitment activity including development / implementation of local recruitment strategy and initiatives.

Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of hiring process, liaising with and reporting to the global team on results.

In relation to contractor hiring :

oIdentify contractors and sources

oManage selection and qualification process

oManage staffing and availability process

oManage process of onboarding / offboarding on projects

oManage feedback and performance process

III.Talent Management

Acts as a main point of contact for regional HR. Promotes a positive, professional, and productive environment, actively looking to understand employee dynamics and nuances.

Approachable and understanding when employees come with concerns or questions, while mature and management-centred in response.

IV.Talent Development & Training

Partners with global HR leadership and regional management team to support the development, growth, and assessment of German and Nordic team.

Using established resources, works closely with local team to advise on development needs, balancing global initiatives with regional capabilities and needs.

Liaise with the London-based L&D team to manage the roll-out of Efficio Academy syllabus for the German and Nordic teams.

Coordinate logistics for all trainings and on-the-job learning clinics. Responsible for the German and Nordic teams’ learning-

path and training logs to be captured in the Learning Management System (LMS). Manage relationship with local training providers.

Run inductions on Efficio Academy Syllabus and LMS for new joiners.

V.Staffing

Partners with regional VPs and Principals to assess and communicate regional staffing needs and facilitate the global staffing process, working closely with the London-

based global staffing team. Works closely with project managers to understand staffing needs and project timelines on a regular basis, capturing and reporting on this.

oCollect staffing requirements and structure / clarify

oAssign resources for Germany and Nordics against the needs based on individual(s) needs

oEscalate staffing topics as needed

oManage communication process with regards to onboarding

VI.HR Process & Reporting

Implements and supports global HR processes, providing guidance on any local nuances and changes needed. Contributes to global HR reporting activities, monitoring key metrics and providing insights to regional management team.

VII.HR Operations (Contracts, Payroll, Benefits & Insurances)

Supported by the local operations teams, is responsible for German and Nordic payroll and benefits administration. Once offers are approved, issues contracts to employees and independent contractors.

Agrees contractual terms with recruitment agencies.

  • Fluent German speaker with excellent spoken and written English
  • Graduate with good quality bachelor’s degree
  • 3-4 years of progressive HR Manager level experience within professional services
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to incorporate analysis into HR delivery
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build solid professional relationships with internal stakeholders of all levels
  • Excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, self-motivated & organised
  • Experience with HRIS systems and reporting
  • Interest and motivation to grow with our firm

  • Must have the right to work in Germany and DenmarkDesirable Requirements
  • Speaking Danish would be advantageous but is not expected
  • Advanced degree or certification in Human Resources
