We are looking for two capable Hardware in the Loop (HIL) Test Engineers (m / f / d) to support our electronic engineering team located at our rapidly expanding Aachen Engineering Centre in Wegberg, Germany.
This purpose built facility opened in 2005 and has the responsibility for powertrain development especially for diesel fuel injection and exhaust gas after-treatment systems.
As HIL Test Engineer you will be responsible for the implementation of highly automated test cases within a Continuous Integration and testing environment including the test execution, evaluating the test results and the corresponding problem reporting.
In your daily work you will closely collaborate with our core development in Japan, the relevant internal departments in Europe and external suplliers.
What you'll do
Create and review test specifications and improve them in regards of test implementation and automation
Implement the test cases and sequences within the test tool environment within a HIL test system
Perform the test execution with test tools and measurement equipment
Integrate the test cases within a Continuous Integration and testing environment
Evaluate the automatically created test reports and the test results
Report and discuss test results with the development team and the quality manager
Support the test manager and the software development project team in all test related activities
What you'll need
Passion for technical products and cutting edge technology
University degree in engineering or comparable education with a focus on information technology, electrical or engineering control systems
Expert knowledge in software testing techniques, test automation, test tools, measurement equipment and test script programming
Knowledge of vehicle / engine management control systems or a fundamental understanding of fuel injection systems
Solid foundation in software engineering and testing gained from at least three to five years of professional experience in embedded software development and minimum one year in software testing
Comfortable working both independently or in teams using a structured approach and showing a high quality orientation
Strong communication skills
