Lead Consultant - Data Center Network Architect at our Stuttgart location

Your Role as a Lead Consultant for Data Center Network Architect

In your role as Support Lead Consultant for Data Center Network Architect ,

automotive Client and keeping its production process up and running. You will ensure the functionality of the Network infra and handle requests and tickets related to Infra operations.

In addition, you will coordinate change processes (change management) and play a key role in both problem definition and overall solution development.

With a team of 10-12 other employees, you are not only a thought leader in your field, but also the most important consultant and first point of contact for our customers.

As a very important "point of contact" you provide the necessary support and information. In addition, you will lead your team in project processes as well as the development and delivery of deliverables.

In your role, it is essential to always consider both sides - the customer's perspective and that of the technical team.

With excellent analytical skills and a knack for tackling problems head on, you will find the right solution for all stakeholders and effectively put it into action.

  • Handling any data center network customer demand like architecture requests, service requests or any other type of network demand.
  • Develop data center network architectures for large-scale enterprise data centers including in-house cabling. Designs in-house cabling architecture and defines cabling layout.
  • Develop data center network processes for any data center service especially for hosting stack integration or physical hardware.
  • Coordinates and designs IPAM demands to the central IPAM responsible. Designs IPAM layouts for various ip address ranges.
  • IPAM for data center network ip ranges.

  • Network launch manager for physical hardware at DCs. Coordinates network tasks within the launch process. Discuss and define topics with other shareholder within launch process.
  • Advanced knowledge of Software Delivered Data Centers in general and Software Delivered Networks in particular.
  • Should have acumen for emerging technologies in the networking world.
  • Knowledge of capacity management process.
  • Planning and organizing Optimally organize the workload across the team.
  • Advanced skills about data center networks and protocols (Unicast, Multicast, Anycast).
  • Advanced skills in network protocols : IP, TCP, UDP, and other common protocols.
  • Advanced skills in network routing protocols : IGP and EGP like OSPF, IS-IS, BGP and others.
  • Advanced skills in Ethernet fabric technologies : Fabric Path, Cisco ACI and EVPN VXLAN
  • Advanced skills in software defined networks especially for VMware NSX-T / V and OpenStack OVS.
  • Basic knowledge how to implement those network protocols within a Cisco Nexus network.
  • Advanced skills in analyze network problems via wireshark or any other tool set.
  • Advanced skills as technical peering manager for Autonomous system.
  • Advanced skills in network services like IPAM, DNS, SMTP, NTP, Load Balancing and others.
  • Advanced skills in how to integration various systems inside a data center
  • Intermediate skills in project management (waterfall & agile) and supplier management.
  • Intermediate skills in process design.
  • Basic skills in physical cable management systems, optics, fibers and data center facility.
  • Basic skills in data center facility architectures and topologies. Assurance of SLAs / KPIs / OLAs and service quality.
  • Promote the organization’s goals and to implement evolving technologies in service.
  • Responsible to integrate security guidelines in solutions.
  • Ensure service quality.
  • Deep understanding of ITIL concepts
  • Qualifications required

  • Fluency in German and English
  • Customer satisfaction is your focus, accordingly you have a strong service mentality
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies, scale quickly and adapt situationally to different requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solver mentality
  • Creative thinking in designing and implementing service improvements
  • Deep experience Customer Handling and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to handle escalations, be a trusted advisor for the customer and work closely with customers in defining solutions
  • Understanding of service level management process, related agreements SLA / OLA and workflow steps.
