Job Description

For our location in Langen close to Frankfurt / Main we are looking for a

As a member of the Automotive Business Unit you will be responsible for managing the European automotive microcontroller application team covering all activities needed to introduce and support Cypress microcontroller solutions in the automotive industry.

Hardware and software support, customer trainings and the development of tools and demonstrators are tasks of your team.

You have a close relationship with customers and 3rd party tool vendors and you are managing related activities to ensure Cypress and our customer’s success.

You are working closely together with product marketing, sales, FAEs, the MCU development teams and the quality team as well as your worldwide counterparts in Cypress.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Lead and coaching of the automotive application team
  • Increase of system and software know-how in the team
  • Lead and coordinate customer support activities
  • Planning and monitoring of project budgets, resources, milestones, costs
  • Regular reporting of project status to customers and internal management
  • Support of our marketing and sales activities
  • Support of cross functional topics like e.g. functional safety, security and quality
  • Qualification

  • An excellent degree in engineering or natural sciences (Hochschulabschluss der Ingenieur- oder Naturwissenschaften)
  • 5 years of professional experience in the field of automotive applications ideally in an international environment
  • Practical experience and strong know-how in embedded microcontroller applications preferable in the automotive industry
  • Experience in management tasks and leading of a team
  • Good presentation skills
  • Excellent language skills in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong communication competencies
  • Strong commitment and a structured working style
  • The position requires also willingness to travel regularly
