This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base. The Role Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Performance Management and monthly Management reporting
  • Review and where applicable preparation of month end management and cost controlling accounting entries
  • Analysis of monthly financial data and preparation of the month end management reporting
  • Review of accounting entries passed by other finance and non-finance teams, especially with regards to revenues and cost, enabling identification, reporting and escalation of unusual items in a timely manner to ensure integrity of financial records and performance management
  • Undertake all aspects of the monthly P&L / Balance Sheet Review activities in accordance with policy guidelines and as directed by the Head of Financial Control
  • Permanent contributions towards process improvements through implementation of new systems, elimination of non-value added work and streamlining of functional procedures
  • Responsibility for GL controls / maintenance
  • Challenging current practices and procedures and identifying opportunities for efficiencies including task migrations
  • Identification of weaknesses in current processes and developing and implementing effective solutions
  • Interpretation and application of policies, especially in the Operational Risk area, taking ownership and responsibility for recurring tasks and reportings in this area (e.g. EORP, FCS, etc.)
  • Our Ideal Candidate

  • Familiar with Business Finance, Performance Management and Management reporting with knowledge of related SCB systems and processes
  • Operational Risk Framework, SCB systems and processes ideal
  • Project / Change Management experience with ability to support global projects
  • Results driven and ability to perform multiple tasks, work to strict deadlines and prioritise tasks.
  • Sets own goals in line with critical monthly activities with particular focus on month end.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills to identify and resolve queries and track issues to conclusion.
  • Ability to handle issues in absence of the Financial Controller and judge when issues require escalation to CFO.
  • Must demonstrate personal accountability in ensuring all tasks and activities are carried out on time and in accordance with legal and procedural requirements.
  • Proactive approach in identifying, raising, reporting and resolving ledger integrity issues ensuring analyst / s team focus on critical activities.
