Portfolio strategy

  • Responsible for defining, operationalizing and implementing a portfolio strategy including a long term pipeline plan (3 to 15 years)
  • Identification of portfolio opportunities Ensures the evaluation and selection of the right portfolio opportunities at the country and regional level for both existing footprint and long-
  • term expansion plays to ensure a more aggressive positioning of Sandoz in APMA Works closely with regional Strategic planning, Global D&R functions (Development and regulatory), BD&L, and Portfolio managers to select products to launch in APMA Review and approve forecasts / business cases (all new products / all scopes) related to Global pipeline (in house + Global BD&L)

  • Provides portfolio analyses for prioritization and budget allocation to projects Propose and lead in country workshops to engage country heads and in countries functions to assure mid-
  • long term portfolio plan Recommend and align on products opportunities in liaison with regional Franchises and Global Portfolio In-

    Market Support and accelerate Portfolio expansion plan in VAMs and originators Provides Regulatory with operational submission plan for running 5 years

  • Leads valuation / business cases for pipeline that guide the strategic investment and portfolio management decisions and help shape and drive the pipeline.
  • Fully understand business cases including competitive landscape, clinical requirements, and other potential external factors which may have influence on future development projects

  • Proactively communicate and address priorities within others global functions to secure long term pipeline for majors products and geographies within APMA
  • Define, Propose and assure in country execution of a 5 Years horizon detailed program to leverage functional excellence across the region

  • Minimum requirements

    Life Sciences Degree (pharmacist, biologist, chemist, M.D.) or Business Administration Degree Very good command of English (spoken & written) 7-

    15 years’ experience in the life sciences industry in consulting, portfolio management, pharmaceutical launch management, project management, regulatory and / or marketing experience.

    Proven ability to think strategically with an operational and commercial proven experience.
